Calendar days vs working days.

The difference that catches people out.

Calendar days

Simply every day, weekends and bank holidays included. If someone says “it'll be with you in ten days”, they usually mean calendar days.

Weekdays

Monday to Friday only. Saturday and Sunday are removed, but public holidays are still counted — because a bank holiday is technically a weekday.

Working days

Weekdays minus public holidays. This is the one that matters for contracts, deliveries and “fourteen working days”. Pick your country — and your nation or state where it makes a difference — and the tool says which calendar it used, rather than quietly assuming one.

Two calendars at once

The weekend is not always Saturday
